Gomer Hendrix has a 3 piece band, acoustic, drums, upright bass
with vocals. Each week at the Harmony Center for the Joyful Spirit
the one hour service features at least 8 to 10 songs by the band.
Services are held at the Veterans Memorial Hall on the corner of
Grand and Harrison by Lake Merritt in downtown Oakland at 11 am.
It's free, and there's plenty of parking, a very liberal celebration for all.

Re: Each Sunday morning...
Tue, February 19, 2008 - 9:15 PMYup, Every Sunday Sunday Sunday. Free music, food, not much talking.
Actually the band does 10 songs in an hour, do the math. Not a christian
based thing, very casual. Readings from Ghandi, Dali Lama, Martin Luther, etc.

We did Tom Petty, ELO, some Keb Mo, some gospel. It rocks, no one hardly ever comes.
